Managed by the Agape Women’s group. The village offers eco-cultural tourism, including coffee-making, cheese tasting, honey harvesting, and hikes to the Marisha River.
Situated on the slopes of Mt. Meru, it provides views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, featuring waterfalls and rich biodiversity (monkeys and diverse birdlife).The tourism initiative is led by local women (formed in 1997) to improve community income, education, and healthcare. Tours offer an authentic look at rural life, including visiting traditional homes and walking through coffee and banana plantations. Located about an hour from Arusha; the path is rugged, requiring a 4x4 or motorbike.
Visitors can participate in farm tours, learn to process coffee from bean to cup, and sample homemade cheese.
