0500hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi airport and drive towards Mount Kenya, Laikipia area, via the highland agricultural zones of central Kenya.
The Ol Pejeta is located on the equator and between the Aberdare and Mount Kenya, and at the Equator crossing.
It's a private wildlife reserve in 365 sq km where you can find lions, buffalo, elephants, leopards, rhinos, cheetah, hyena, and the rare African wild dog.
Olpejeta wildlife sanctuary is known for its efforts at saving endangered and threatened wildlife. The rhino sanctuary here hosts 100 black rhinos, the largest protected population in East Africa.
Also, a visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary, where abandoned chimps are rescued and nursed back to health. When they have been rehabilitated, the chimps are introduced to large natural enclosures where they can live and play freely.
