Head out through Maasai country, keep an eye out for these indigenous people, tending to their cattle as we head for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Standing on the crater rim at Ngorongoro, the world's largest inactive, unbroken, and unfilled volcanic caldera. Descend into this blue/green ecosystem, and we’ll enter a rare space born of an amazing density and variety of wildlife. Lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, zebras, and more have made this extinct volcano their home for eons.

Picnic Lunch as you enjoy the captivating surroundings.

Late Afternoon, you will ascend back to the top to a spectacular sunset at the crater’s rim.

3 Hour Drive

Immense troves of fossilized remnants from ancient man have been discovered here, including vast numbers of tools. These have provided an invaluable record of human development. It’s an eye-opening experience.

The great Serengeti is next –extending to the horizon, filled with wildebeest, gazelle, zebra, impalas, and exciting populations of lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

You will begin your game drives over the vast spaces here, looking for wildlife, like the over 50,000 buffalo filling these wide-open grasslands.
