TZ: 5 Days Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro

7:30 am: pick up from your hotel, or airport, by your driver/guide in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep.

Drive through the fields and pastures of Maasai country, where you may see herders with their cattle, before continuing on to Lake Manyara.

The lake with its pink flamingoes dominates the park. However, there are all sorts of other game here as well, like blue monkeys and baboons.

The park is known for the unusual tree-climbing lions! If you look upwards at the acacia trees, you might spot some large felines draped over the branches, relaxing in the sunlight.

Breakfast, further game drives as you depart the park for Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti is an awe of the vastness of its plains and its overwhelming wildlife. Wildebeests are everywhere, and so are the zebra, impala, gazelle, and buffalo.

Enjoy your dinner and overnight at your lodge/tented camp.

A day of unlimited game drives. You will find plenty of big cats – the park supports over 3,000 lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and more.

You will take a lunch break surrounded by the immense plains and all the wildlife it holds, a “Seven Natural Wonders of Africa”, the largest and longest land animal migration in the world, involving over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra moving between Tanzania and Kenya.

Be on the lookout for baboons, monkeys, the rare African wild dog, and also hippos and crocodiles in the nearby rivers.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp

Breakfast and head to Ngorongoro conservation area with a stop along the way at Olduvai Gorge, where the remains of the earliest known human fossils were found, a wealth of artefacts, tools and bones

Later, head to the great volcanic crater at Ngorongoro, the largest intact caldera in the world. You will drive down the steep banks of the crater’s walls in your 4 x 4 to the land dense with wildlife, woods, plains, and marshes.

You will spend the day searching for lions, leopards, black rhinos, monkeys, antelopes, zebras, elephants, and pink flamingoes.

Enjoy your picnic lunch with the colourful sightings of Ngorongoro.

Late afternoon, head back up the crater’s walls to the rim, where we’ll catch one of Africa’s most breathtaking sunsets.

Dinner and overnight at your  Ngorongoro accommodation.

Get up in time to catch an equally awesome sunrise at the crater’s rim!

Rise early for a stunning sunrise back at the crater’s rim.

Breakfast at leisure and drive to Arusha. You will make rest stops along the way,
